Laborer
Brief Job Description:
Laborers utilize vacuum or high-pressure water equipment to clean or remove materials from required areas. They perform all assigned duties under the direction of an operator or supervisor. Safety is the number one priority — every laborer is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for themselves and their crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety is every employee’s responsibility.
- Follow all GAP safety policies at all times.
- Complete every task safely and correctly.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to a supervisor.
- Exercise the right to refuse unsafe work.
Operations
- Perform all job duties to the best of your ability.
- Follow all work rules and supervisor instructions.
- Complete manual labor tasks safely and efficiently.
- Suggest improvements for efficiency and safety.
- Support team decisions and promote a positive work culture.
- Drive company pickups to local and out-of-town job sites.
- Maintain a clean work area and properly clean equipment after use.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections before using equipment.
- Always wear issued safety gear on every job.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Operator
Brief Job Description:
Operators are responsible for leading crews and overseeing all aspects of assigned jobs. They serve as the main point of contact for customers and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety is every employee’s responsibility.
- Lead pre-job safety meetings and enforce all GAP safety policies.
- Ensure the crew follows safety procedures and report any violations.
- Report all accidents, injuries, and safety concerns immediately.
- Refuse unsafe procedures & work with supervisors to find safe alternatives.
Operations
- Oversee crew efficiency, production, and quality.
- Communicate regularly with dispatchers or supervisors.
- Provide guidance, on-the-job training, and direction to laborers.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Manage and return all equipment and supplies after each job.
- Complete and return all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Travel and work out of town when required.
- Promote a positive and safe work environment.
- Continuously learn new equipment and techniques.
- Suggest and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
Maintenance
- Perform daily DOT pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
- Make minor repairs and report major ones to the shop superintendent.
- Record all maintenance issues on GAP maintenance forms and boards.
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and in serviceable condition.
- Submit mileage and fuel logs daily.
